HUBBARD HAS THE RAIDERS NUMBER

Tyler Wright struck out 10 batters as the righty led Hubbard past South Range 7-1 on Tuesday to complete the season sweep. Wright surrendered zero hits and zero runs over five innings while walking four.

Hubbard opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two walks. They first got on the board when Geno Leshnack drew a walk, scoring one run. The Eagles added one run in the second after Wright doubled. A single by Jonny Adamson extended the lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

Konnor Brogan stepped on the hill first for South Range. The right-handed pitcher allowed five hits and four runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking five.

Wright led Hubbard with two hits in three at bats. Andrew Kali and Mathew Bobovnik each drove in two runs. Gabe Rusnak led with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game.

Brennan Klasovski went 1-for-3 at the plate as they led the team with one run batted in. South Range had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. The Raiders turned one double play in the game. They were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Jake Shumate made the most plays with six.
