KOHLER THROWS PERFECT GAME RAIDERS SPLIT TWO IN MYRTLE

GAME 1:

Bree Kohler hurled a perfect game on Monday to lead South Range past Carolina Forest 11-0. Kohler struck out Kaylea Hart to end the game.

South Range secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. Kohler, Samantha Susany, Juli Stachowicz, Kelly Szolek, and Jamie Feren all drove in runs in the frame.

The Raiders got things moving in the first inning. An error scored one run.

South Range notched six runs in the fourth inning. The rally was led by singles by Kohler, Susany, and Feren, a triple by Stachowicz, and a sacrifice fly by Szolek.

Kohler got the win for South Range. The righthander surrendered zero runs on zero hits over five innings, striking out 12 and walking zero.

South Range totaled 11 hits in the game. Susany and Madison Dado each racked up multiple hits for. Susany went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.

GAME 2:

A walk-off left South Range on the wrong end of an 11-10 defeat to Clover on Monday. The game was tied at ten with Clover batting in the bottom of the seventh when Adah Browning doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

South Range trailed by four runs in the third inning, but then fought back to lower the final margin. Raiders scored three runs in the failed comeback on a error in the fourth, a double by Reagan Irons in the fifth, and a error in the fifth.

South Range got on the board in the first inning when Bree Kohler singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

The Raiders knotted the game up at ten in the top of the fifth inning. An error scored one run.

After South Range scored three runs in the top of the second, Clover answered with three of their own. The Raiders scored when an error scored one run, Kohler laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, and Juli Stachowicz singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Clover then answered when Hope Marshburn grounded out, scoring one run and Browning singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Clover scored seven runs in the third inning. Clover big bats were led by Logan Macneil, Brie Berry, Browning, Sami Chavis, and Jenna Ventrelli, who all drove in runs.

Amelia Mason led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Clover. The pitcher went six innings, allowing ten runs on 14 hits, striking out five and walking zero.

Stachowicz was in the pitcher’s circle for South Range. The lefty allowed seven hits and seven runs over two and a third innings. Kohler and Samantha Susany entered the game as relief, throwing two and a third innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively.

The Raiders up 14 hits in the game. Irons, Susany, Stachowicz, Madison Dado, and Kelly Szolek all collected multiple hits. Irons went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead in hits.

Clover tallied ten hits on the day. Maddy Bruining, Browning, and Emily Wodecki each collected multiple hits for Clover. Bruining led Clover with three hits in four at bats.
