LADY QUAKERS WIN DISTRICT FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2004

ASHTABULA, OH- The Lady Quakers ended an 18-year District Championship drought as they defeated West Geauga in the District Finals on Friday 41-34.

From the tip, the Quaker’s defense proved to be one of the best in the area as they only allows 34 points against West Geauga who is averaging 58 points per game. The defensive effort was led by Abby Perry who held junior standout Alexa Hocevar scoreless in the first half.

On the Offensive end, Abbie Davidson led the Quakers with 10 points while Kami Rohm and Rylee Hutton each added 7 points and 6 boards apiece. Jenna McClish and Kami Rohm also showed relentless defense with 3 steals apiece.

The Quakers will travel to Barberton on Tuesday for the Regional Semi-Finals and play Northwest (23-2). Tip-off begins after the West Branch/Norton game at 8:00 pm.
