RAIDERS TAKE TWO AT THE BEACH

GAME 1:

South Range blew out Middletown 16-3 on Tuesday.

The Raiders fired up the offense in the first inning. Bree Kohler drove in two when she tripled.

The Raiders scored seven runs in the fourth inning. Their big bats in the inning were led by a triple by Jillian Strecansky, a single by Juli Stachowicz, by Reagan Irons, and an error on a ball put in play by Jamie Feren.

Samantha Susany led things off in the circle for South Range. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out eight and walking one.

Constance toed the rubber for Middletown. The hurler went three innings, allowing nine runs on 13 hits, striking out one and walking zero. Dorman threw one inning in relief.

South Range tallied 18 hits in the game. Irons, Madison Dado, Strecansky, Kohler, Taylor Smesko, and Kelly Szolek each collected multiple hits. Strecansky, Dado, and Irons each collected three hits to lead.

Priesr led Middletown with two hits in three at bats.

GAME 2:

South Range asserted their will over North Bullitt on their way to an easy 13-3 victory

The Raiders opened up scoring in the second inning, when Kelly Szolek doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

North Bullitt knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the third inning, when Burton grounded out, scoring one run.

South Range pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored one run.

The Raiders tallied four runs in the sixth inning. They put the pressure on, lead by a single by Madison Dado and a sac fly by Samantha Susany.

Reagan Irons got the start for South Range. The pitcher allowed seven hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking one.

Burton was on the rubber for North Bullitt. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing 12 hits and 13 runs while striking out five and walking zero.

South Range totaled 12 hits in the game. Irons, Szolek, and Bree Kohler each managed multiple hits. Irons led  with three hits in five at bats.

Katie Knight went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead North Bullitt in hits.
