SLOW START NO PROBLEM FOR UNITED

HANOVERTON OH- United orchestrated a remarkable comeback in Week 3, rallying from a 14-0 deficit to secure a resounding 35-14 victory over Crestview. The game began with Crestview taking the lead as Max Hawkins powered in for an 11-yard rushing touchdown, and the ensuing PAT was successful, putting them ahead 7-0 in the first quarter. This lead held until the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Crestview extended their lead with another Hawkins touchdown, this time from 19 yards out, and the PAT was good, making it 14-0. However, United responded before halftime with Luke Courtney scoring on a 2-yard rushing touchdown, narrowing the gap to 14-7.

The third quarter saw United continue their comeback, with Courtney connecting with Louden Stryffeler for a 43-yard passing touchdown, leveling the score at 14-14. Later in the quarter, Andrew Ogilvie added to the comeback with a 1-yard rushing touchdown, giving United their first lead at 21-14 by the end of the third quarter.

United’s dominance continued into the fourth quarter as Courtney found Parker Newburn for a 68-yard passing touchdown, extending their lead to 28-14. Courtney sealed the victory with a 36-yard rushing touchdown, and the PAT was good, resulting in the final score of 35-14 in favor of United.

With this impressive comeback win, United now looks ahead to opening Conference play in Week 4 with a matchup against Columbiana. On the other hand, Crestview will hit the road to face Liberty in their Week 4 contest.
