SOUTH RANGE TRUMPS POLAND

CANFIELD, OH- Poland watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 8-3 loss to South Range on Saturday. South Range scored on a single by Stevie Rohan, a double by Aiden English, and a single by Tyson Tarajack in the first inning.

Tarajack earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for South Range. The ace lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out four and walking one. Cory Penick threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Dominic Elia took the loss for Poland. The lefthander lasted three innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out four and walking one.

The Bulldogs tallied nine hits. Teagan McCurdy, Chris Denney, and Evan Hegarty each racked up multiple hits for Poland. Hegarty, Denney, and McCurdy all had two hits to lead Poland. The Bulldogs were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Denney had the most chances in the field with five.

South Range totaled ten hits. English, Tarajack, Michael Markulin, and Shane Lindstrom all collected multiple hits for South Range.
