BADGER BASEBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH BILL HAMILTON

KINSMAN, OHIO- It”s baseball time for the Badger Braves as they look to tremendously improve from just a 2 win season one year ago. Head Coach Bill Hamilton is quite confident that this years team will have a much better season as he has all nine of his starters returning to the lineup and as well as nine incoming freshman coming to the team. Coach Hamilton feels a little bit more comfortable with the fact that he has enough players for a possible JV team unlike a year ago where games were canceled due to lack of players.

Coach Hamilton took the time to sit down with YSN’s Matt Morrison to talk about this years expectations. Check out this exclusive interview on YSN!

MOY MAKES HIS MARK AS 2023 OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

KINSMAN, OHIO- While defense does wins championships, offense is also a huge part of of the game as well. Playing good defense sets up a good offensive strategy. The Badger Braves have been able to take advantage of that opportunity tremendously with their star player, Duncan Moy. Moy helped the Braves to their first 20 win season for the first time since the 2001-2002 season, when now head coach Josh Upshire was a senior star for the Braves.

Upshire has helped mold Duncan Moy into a rising star on the basketball court as Moy averaged 24.8 points a game for the Braves this season and has also shot 50% from the field goal line. Moy led the Braves all they way to the Division IV district championship game where they came up short to Cornerstone Christian, but Moy will be returning to the Braves next year looking to lead the Braves to another winning season in his senior campaign.

We at YSN want to congratulate Duncan and the Braves on a very memorable season. We are honored to announce that Duncan Moy is the 2023 recipient of the YSN Offensive Player of the Year!
