CANFIELD FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 4) WITH MIKE PAVLANSKY

CANFIELD, OH – Week three saw Coach Mike Pavlansky and his Canfield Cardinals play one of the top offenses in the state of Ohio, in New Philadelphia, but the Cards were not affected one bit as they showed up and took care of business en route to a 31-24 victory. Up next for Canfield will be their first road contest of the season as they will travel down to Dover to take on the Crimson Tornadoes on Friday night.

YSN’s own, Steve Leslie, caught up with Coach Pav this week to discuss their winning streak, some takeaways from last week’s victory over New Philly, what the Cards need to do to keep their winning streak alive in week four, and much more!

CHANEY FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 4) WITH CHRIS AMILL

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – Coming off a highly anticipated week three match up with the Austintown Fitch Falcons, Coach Chris Amill, and the Chaney. Cowboys will look to jump out early and get a big win in week four against the Cardinal Mooney Cardinals in an SVC match up on Friday night.

YSN’s own, Steve Leslie, had the pleasure of chatting with Coach Amill this week to discuss what the ‘Boys need to do this week to beat Mooney, what we can expect in week four from Chaney, and what Coach Amill is planning as the playoffs begin to sneak up on us ever so slowly!

TIGERS STORM PAST MCDONALD

NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH- The McDonald Blue Devils were the last team to beat Springfield in the regular season.

That was September 21st.

2018.

Yes, nearly two years ago the Tigers fell- and McDonald was in the kitchen cooking up an upset on the road in 2020, except Springfield had all the ingredients this time in their pantry.  In fact, the Tigers were able to draw up a few trick plays to keep things interesting in a 49-13 victory over their MVAC rivals.

Beau Brungard led the way for Springfield with four touchdowns  (11/19 passing, 55 yards rushing), while Clayton Nezbeth rushed for 102 yards and 3 total scores for the Tigers.

For McDonald, Dom Schadl ran for 180 yards on 22 carries and a score.

Springfield will take on Lowellville in Tiger Territory next week, and McDonald returns home to take on Mineral Ridge.

WELLSVILLE FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 2) WITH MOOSE RAMSEY

WELLSVILLE, OH – Week two saw Coach Moose Ramsey and his Wellsville Tigers host the Southern Indians in a game where the Tigers fought hard all night but come up just a little short. This week Wellsville will travel up to Hanoverton to take on the United Golden Eagles in an EOAC match up!

YSN’s Gary Althiser, sat down with with Coach Ramsey this week as they discussed what the Tigers need to do to get back to their winning ways, what he and his staff are planning for in week three, and also what the Tigers have in store for the rest of the season as the playoffs begin to creep closer and closer, all that and more.

EAST LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 2) WITH JOSH LUDWIG

EAST LIVERPOOL, OH – Week two saw Coach Josh Ludwig and the East Liverpool Potters travel down to Wintersville to take on Indian Creek. The Potters asserted themselves and were rewarded with a 34-13 victory. Up next for East Liverpool will be another road game as they will travel to St. Clairesville Friday night.

YSN’s own, Tommy Pease, had the opportunity to catch up with Coach Lud to discuss last week’s big victory but also what the Potters need to do to keep winning in week three. They also talked about what we can expect from East Liverpool as the playoffs begin to sneak up on us, all that and more!

SOUTH RANGE FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 2) WITH DAN YEAGLEY

CANFIELD, OH – Coach Dan Yeagley and his South Range Raiders flashed their high powered offense a little bit last week against Girard in a 56-28 victory. The Raiders looked impressive back to back weeks now as they sit at 2-0 with another big match up in week three against the Niles Red Dragons.

YSN’s founding father, D.J. Yokley, had the opportunity to sit down with Coach Yeagley this week to discuss hot start to the 2020 season, what the Raiders are looking to accomplish in week three against Niles, and much more.

NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH – Week two saw Coach Sean Guerriero and the Springfield Tigers roll into Berlin Center and establish themselves as one of the top teams in the MVAC. The Tigers looked crisp and dominant on both sides of the ball all night en route to a 31-0 victory over the Western Reserve Blue Devils. Week three will put the undefeated Tigers in full view as they welcome the also undefeated McDonald Blue Devils, to town Friday night.

YSN’s own, Steve Leslie, had the opportunity to catch up with Coach G to discuss his team’s success so far in the 2020 football season, what the Tigers need to do to keep on winning in week three against a very talented McDonald squad, but also what they need to do to repeat their success from last year as the playoffs keep inching closer and closer this season.
