CRESTVIEW BOUNCES BACK AGAINST BEAVERS

COLUMBIANA OH- Crestview coasted to an easy victory over Beaver 11-1 on Wednesday. It was a great response to the Rebels loss on Tuesday.

Brooke Brubaker got the win for Crestview. The righty went six innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out nine.

Crestview totaled 11 hits. McKenna Schultz, Brenna Figley, and Ellie Ricketts each managed multiple hits. Schultz went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead  in hits.

G-MEN PUT A CHARGE INTO CRESTVIEW

Garfield defeated Crestview 9-3 thanks to a strong start to the game on Tuesday night. The G-Men scored on a single by Kaidan Spade, a walk by Jackson Sommer, a single by Brody Swigonski, and an passed ball during Eric Geddes’s at bat in the second inning.

The G-Men earned the victory despite allowing Crestview to score three runs in the second inning. Crestview’s big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Sam Campbell and Matthew Strank and a single by Ethan Feezle.

Lenny Veccia got the win for the G-Men. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out seven and walking one.

Campbell took the loss for Crestview. The bulldog surrendered six runs on four hits over two innings, striking out three.

Garfield had seven hits in the game. Anthony Demma and Swigonski each had multiple hits. Swigonski and Demma each managed two hits to lead.

THE BOMB SISTERS STRIKE BIG BLOWS FOR REBELS

Crestview stole the lead late in the game in a 7-4 victory over Brookfield on Saturday. Crestview was down 4-3 in the top of the sixth inning when Karsyn Moore homered on a 2-2 count, scoring four runs.

The Rebels earned the victory despite allowing Brookfield to score three runs in the third inning. Cadence Huffman and Katie Logan each drove in runs during the inning.

Crestview got on the board in the first inning when Kaedyn Sutton hit a solo homer.

Sutton earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for the Rebels. The bulldog surrendered four runs on ten hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Miranda Nicholson took the loss for the Warriors. She went seven innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits and striking out seven.

Crestview smacked two home runs on the day. Sutton had a long ball in the first inning. Moore went for the long ball in the sixth inning.

Sutton led Crestview with three hits in four at bats.

Brookfield collected ten hits. Logan, Sammi McAnany, and Arianna Jones all managed multiple hits.

REBELS RAMPAGE OVER LABRAE

McKenna Schultz did the opposing team no favors on Friday, picking up four hits over four at bats and leading Crestview to a 16-6 win over LaBrae. Schultz doubled in the first, doubled in the third, doubled in the third, and doubled in the fifth.

There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Crestview collected 21 hits and LaBrae had ten.

The Rebels pulled away for good with 11 runs in the third inning. In the third Schultz doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Karsyn Moore singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Brooke Brubaker singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Chloe Stoops singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Brenna Figley singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, Schultz doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, and Moore homered on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.

Brubaker was the winning pitcher for Crestview. Brubaker lasted five innings, allowing ten hits and six runs while striking out eight.

Crestview launched one home run on the day. Moore had a four bagger in the third inning.

The Rebels collected 21 hits. Schultz, Kaedyn Sutton, Stoops, Moore, Figley, Brubaker, and Ellie Ricketts all collected multiple hits. Sutton and Schultz each collected four hits to lead.

CHAMPION CONTINUES TO RUN MVAC

Champion made a statement inside the MVAC that they’re still the team to beat. They beat Crestview 6-3 on Thursday.

Champion fired up the offense in the first inning. An error scored two runs.

Abigail Meadors took the win for the Flashes. The righty went seven innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and striking out two.

Kaedyn Sutton took the loss for Crestview. Sutton went six innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out four.

Champion smacked one home run on the day. Isabella Meyer had a homer in the second inning.

Mady Jones, Olivia Zigarovich, Meyer, and Tayler Fuller each collected one hit to lead.

Karsyn Moore led Crestview with two hits in four at bats.

SUTTON ACQUIRES SECOND NO HITTER OF THE SEASON

COLUMBIANA OH- Kaedyn Sutton was brilliant in the circle on Wednesday, as she threw a no-hitter to lead Crestview past LaBrae 10-0.

Crestview opened up scoring in the first inning, when Sutton doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Crestview tallied three runs in the sixth inning. Their big inning was driven by singles by Sutton and Brooke Brubaker and by Karsyn Moore.

Sutton was the winning pitcher for the Rebels. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out ten and walking one.

Crestview racked up 13 hits. Brubaker, Moore, McKenna Schultz, Sutton, and Brenna Figley each managed multiple hits. Figley, Sutton, Schultz, Moore, and Brubaker all had two hits to lead.

Crestview Lady Rebels was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Moore made the most plays with 11.

REBELS BLANK BROOKFIELD

COLUMBIANA OH- The Crestview Rebels have been rolling through their schedule in the early part of the 2022 season.  Tuesday night would be no different as the state ranked Rebels quickly dispatched visiting Brookfield 10-0 in 6 innings.

Crestview offensively shelled Brookfield pitching all night collecting 12 total hits.  Matt Strank led the way for the victors collecting 4 base knocks and 4 RBI.  Anthony Cusick chipped in 3 hits and 2 RBI, while Ethan Feezle, Matt Lindsay, and Jesse McKee each added 2 hits and an RBI in the victory. Sam Campbell

collected the win on the mound for the Rebels.  The Crestview pitcher turned in a solid performance going 5 innings and striking out 4.

Crestview (5-0) looks to keep the momentum going as it travels to Cene Park in Struthers on Wednesday to take on Heartland Christian, first pitch is slated for 7pm.

CRESTVIEW DOMINATES THE DEVILS

Crestview easily did away with Campbell Memorial 11-1 on Tuesday

In the first inning, Crestview got their offense started. Carter Blakeman drove in one when he tripled.

The Rebels put up four runs in the sixth inning. The rally was led by singles by Sam Campbell and Matthew Strank and groundouts by Matthew Lindsay and Jesse McKee.

Campbell got the win for Crestview. Campbell lasted six innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out 11 and walking one. Drew Dattilio threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

James Shuger took the loss for Campbell. The hurler allowed 11 hits and eight runs over five innings, striking out one and walking one.

Crestview scattered 12 hits in the game. Lindsay, Cade Hancox, Hunter DuVall, Campbell, and Strank all collected multiple hits. Strank, Campbell, DuVall, Hancox, and Lindsay all had two hits to lead.

Duan Reynolds went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Devils in hits.

CRESTVIEW CREATES PROBLEMS FOR BLUE JAYS

COLUMBIANA OH-  Crestview defeated Jackson-Milton 7-1 on Saturday thanks to five runs in the fifth inning. The Rebels’s big inning was driven by doubles by Karsyn Moore and Brooke Brubaker, a single by Kaedyn Sutton, and a groundout by Katie Lissi.

In the second inning, Crestview got their offense started. An error scored one run.

The Rebels notched five runs in the fifth inning. Sutton, Moore, Brubaker, and Lissi powered the big inning with RBIs.

Sutton got the win in the circle for Crestview. She went seven innings, allowing one run on six hits, striking out 15 and walking zero.

Riley Headley took the loss for Jackson-Milton. She lasted four and a third innings, allowing ten hits and seven runs while walking zero.

Crestview collected 12 hits. Brubaker, McKenna Schultz, Lissi, and Moore all managed multiple hits. Brubaker led with three hits in three at bats

Chelsea Williams went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Jackson-Milton in hits.

REBELS ROCK JACKSON MILTON

COLUMBIANA OH- Both pitching staffs had their hands full on Saturday in a high-scoring affair where Crestview bested Jackson Milton, 17-6.

The Rebels secured the victory thanks to 12 runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by Crestview was led by Carter Blakeman, Anthony Cusick, Jesse McKee, Ethan Feezle, Sam Campbell, and Matthew Strank, all driving in runs in the frame.

Crestview got things moving in the first inning, when an error scored one run.

The Rebels tallied 12 runs in the fourth inning. Their big bats were led by Blakeman, Cusick, McKee, Feezle, Campbell, and Strank, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Jackson Milton scored three runs in the fifth inning.

Cayden Booth took the win for Crestview. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out four. Hunter DuVall and Blakeman entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

The Rebels racked up 13 hits on the day. Campbell, Blakeman, and Matthew Lindsay all managed multiple hits. Campbell went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead.
