RAMS LOCKED IN TO DISTRICT SEMIFINALS

KINSMAN, OHIO- The Mineral Ridge Lady Rams had no trouble on offense today, winning big over the Badger Braves 13-2 to advance in to the district semifinals.

The Braves got things started in the first inning when Julia Toth grounded out, scoring one run, but the Rams pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning when an error scored one run, Aaliyah Wall’s sac fly scored one run, Laney Rigley singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, and Ana Busse singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Maddy Ylonen pitched the Rams to victory as the righty surrendered two runs on six hits over six innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Jessica Lovesee led the Braves at the plate with two hits in three at bats and Molly O’Brien was on the rubber as the righthander lasted six innings, allowing 18 hits and 13 runs while striking out three and walking one.

The Rams will now move onto the district semifinals where they will hope to continue their nice playoff run.
