RAIDERS GIVE HUBBARD MONDAY BLUES

CANFIELD, OH – The South Range Raiders hosted the Hubbard Eagles in the first game of the season series on Monday night. The Raiders looked to stay undefeated in the NE8 and the Eagles were looking to give South Range their first league loss. Brandon Mikos started and finished the game on the rubber for South Range and Dylan Durkos started and finished the game for Hubbard. The Eagles grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first inning, but South Range grabbed a 4-2 lead of their own in the bottom half of the first. After that, the Raiders took control and would slowly extend their lead to 7-2 by the 4th inning and added 1 run in the 6th to get a demanding 8-2 victory over Hubbard.

For the Raiders, 13 total hits, 8 RBI’s. Brandon Mikos: 12 K’s, 7 IP, 5 hits against, 0 ER’s, 3 for 4 with 2 singles and 1 double. Shane Lindstrom: 2 for 3 with 2 singles. Mike Perry: 1 for 3 with 3 RBI’s.

For the Eagles, 5 total hits, 1 RBI. Dylan Durkos: 4 K’s, 6 IP, 13 hits against. Evan Jarvis: 2 for 3 with 2 singles. Albert Gerlick: 1 for 2 with 1 single.

Both teams will finish up the season series against each other Tuesday night, the 20th at Hubbard. Don’t miss it on YSN!
