SALEM SILENCES EAGLES

HANOVERTON OH- The  visiting Salem Quakers improved to 14-7 on the year as they defeated the United Eagles 52-43 in  Friday nights hardwood action.

In a tight contest the Quakers were up by 3 entering the final period and they outscored the Eagles 17-11 to seal the game up.

Junior Jon Null led the way for a well-balanced scoring attack for Salem with 13 points, teammates Hunter Griffith chipped in 12 points and Drew Weir added 11 points.

For United, who finished the season slate at 9-12, Senior Keaton scored 11 points.

Salem hits the courts Saturday night as they face Western Reserve Blue Devils to close out their season in a home battle. Tournament  play will begin Tuesday night as the Quakers will host the Girard Indians and the Eagles will travel to Crestview to take on the Rebels.
