KELM’S FOUR RBI SET THE PACE FOR LADY BULLDOGS

CORTLAND, OH- Cait Kelm came the ballpark and meant business on Monday, driving in four on three hits to lead Lakeview past Girard 11-6 on Monday. Kelm drove in runs on a single in the first, a double in the second, and a home run in the third.

An early lead helped propel the Lady Bulldogs to victory. Lakeview scored on a single by Beady Titus, a single by Kelm, and a single by Laura Garvin in the first inning.  Lakeview tallied five runs in the second inning.  The Bulldog batters contributing to the big inning included KelmOlivia Kelm, and Abbie Campana, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Kelm also pitched Lakeview to victory. She went five innings, allowing six runs on three hits and striking out 11.

Culver took the loss for Girard. She went four innings, allowing 11 runs on 14 hits.

Lakeview racked up 14 hits in the game. TitusKelmRaegan Schick, and Kelm each racked up multiple hits for the Lady Dogs. Kelm and Titus each managed three hits to lead the team.

Girard didn’t commit a single error in the field. Sam Dohy had the most chances in the field with four.

LAKEVIEW STRIKES EARLY, BEATS GIRARD

CORTLAND, OH- Lakeview jumped out to an early lead over Girard and took home a 6-1 victory on Monday. The Bulldogs scored on a double by Gabe Senkowitz, a walk by Nick Demonica, a single by Brendon Kilpatrick, and a fielder’s choice by Jake Wilms– all in the second inning.

Austin Vogt was the winning pitcher for Lakeview. He lasted all seven innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out seven and walking zero.

Braydon Freeland took the loss for Girard. He surrendered six runs on ten hits over six innings, striking out two.

Lakeview racked up ten hits. Anthony McClellannVogt, and Demonica all managed multiple hits for the Bulldogs. DemonicaVogt, and McClellann each collected two hits to lead LakeviewLakeview also stole four bases during the game as two players stole more than one. McClellann led the way with two.

LAKEVIEW TOO MUCH FOR STRUTHERS

Struthers fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-0 loss to Lakeview on Wednesday.  Lakeview scored on a single by Vogt, a single by Wilms, a single by Ellsworth Myers, and a walk by McRoberts in the first inning.

The Wildcats struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Lakeview, giving up nine runs.

Lakeview got on the board in the first inning.  Vogt drove in one when he singled.

A single by JD Hall in the first inning was a positive for Struthers.

Vogt was the winning pitcher for Lakeview. He went seven innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out nine and walking one.

Jared Laczko took the loss for Struthers. He surrendered four runs on four hits over two innings, striking out three.

Hall went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead the Wildcats in hits.

Lakeview racked up ten hits on the day.  Ellsworth Myers, McRoberts, and Vogt all managed multiple hits for Lakeview.  Ellsworth Myers led Lakeview with three hits in four at bats.  Lakeview was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Ellsworth Myers made the most plays with  nine.

LAKEVIEW COMEBACK FALLS SHORT, LADY CATS PREVAIL

CORTLAND, OH- Despite a 4-run deficit in the sixth inning, Lakeview almost came all the way back, eventually falling 9-8 to Struthers on Monday. The Lady Bulldogs scored three runs in the failed comeback on a fielder’s choice by Cait Kelm and a single by Laura Garvin.  Lakeview collected eight hits and Struthers had eight in the high-scoring affair.

Lakeview got on the board in the first inning when Beady Titus singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.  After Struthers scored three runs in the top of the sixth, The Lady Dogsy answered with three of their own. Struthers scored when Farrar singled, scoring two runs and Ferguson singled, scoring one. Lakeview then answered when Pezzone induced Kelm to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored and Garvin singled, scoring two runs.

Struthers took the lead for good with three runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Farrar singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Struthers, and Bova singled, scoring one run.

Pezzone led the Struthers to victory in the pitcher’s circle. She lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and eight runs while striking out 12.

Kelm took the loss for Lakeview. She went five innings, allowing nine runs on seven hits and striking out six.

Offensively, Lakeview tallied eight hits in the game. Titus and Kelm each racked up multiple hits for LakeviewTitus led the team with three hits in four at-bats.

Struthers had eight hits in the game. Farrar and Ferguson each managed multiple hits for Struthers. Farrar went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Struthers in hits. Struthers was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Ferguson made the most plays with 11.

TACKETT HOMERS, LAKEVIEW CLIPS FALCONS

JEFFERSON, OH- Despite allowing three runs in the third inning, the Lakeview Bulldogs defeated Jefferson Area 8-5 on Wednesday.

Lakeview got on the board in the second inning when Mariah Tackett homered count, scoring three runs.  Lakeview took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Beady Titus‘s sac fly scored one run for Lakeview Bulldogs Varsity and Olivia Kelm drew a walk, scoring one run.

Raegan Schick earned the victory on the rubber for Lakeview. She allowed five hits and four runs over three and a third innings, striking out three. Cait Kelm threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Kelm recorded the last 11 outs to earn the save for the Lady Bulldogs.

Wilber took the loss for Jefferson Area. She surrendered eight runs on 17 hits over seven innings, striking out six.

Lakeview saw the ball well today, racking up 17 hits in the game. SchickKelmAbbie CampanaLaura GarvinTitus, and Tackett each collected multiple hits for LakeviewSchick led the team with four hits in five at-bats.

FALCONS FLEX ON LAKEVIEW

CORTLAND, OH- The Lakeview Bulldogs fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-2 loss to Jefferson Area on Tuesday. Cait Kelm took the loss for Lakeview. She lasted three innings, allowing nine hits and nine runs while striking out four.

KILPATRICK DRIVES IN FOUR, LAKEVIEW STEALS THEIR WAY TO WIN OVER LIBERTY

CORTLAND, OH- Brendon Kilpatrick was bad news for opposing pitchers on Friday, driving in four on three hits to lead Lakeview past Liberty 11-1 on Friday. Kilpatrick drove in runs on a double in the fourth and a single in the fifth.

Lakeview secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. KilpatrickJake Wilms, and Kevin Ellsworth-Myers each had RBIs in the frame.

Clay Lazzari got the win for Lakeview. He surrendered one run on one hit over five innings, striking out seven.

Lakeview collected 13 hits on the day. KilpatrickLazzariEllsworth-Myers, and Wilms all had multiple hits for the Bulldogs. Kilpatrick went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Lakeview in hits. The Bulldogs also tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Matthew McRoberts led the way with three.

HARVEY KNOCKS IN WALK OFF WINNER FOR LAKEVIEW

CORTLAND, OH- it came down to the wire on Thursday, with Lakeview taking victory on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings that sealed their victory over Marlington. Lakeview was down 12-11 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Madison Harvey singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring the tying, and game-winning runs.

Beady Titus collected four hits in five at-bats to help lead Lakeview  to victory.Titus singled in the third, singled in the fifth, singled in the sixth, and singled in the seventh.

Lakeview opened up scoring in the second inning, when Harvey singled, scoring one run.  Raegan Schick earned the win for the Lady Bulldogs. She surrendered three runs on three hits over four and a third innings, striking out two.

Shatzer took the loss for Marlington. She went six and two-thirds innings, allowing 13 runs on 22 hits and striking out three.

Cait Kelm started the game for Lakeview. She lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and nine runs while striking out three and walking zero.

Lakeview scattered an unbelievable 22 hits in the game. Laura GarvinHarveyTitusSchickKelmAbbie Campana, and Mariah Tackett all managed multiple hits for Lakeview. TitusHarvey, and Garvin all had four hits to lead the team.

Marlington racked up nine hits in the game. Davis and Crone, all managed multiple hits for Marlington.

CROYLE, KIST HOMER HUBBARD PAST LADY BULLDOGS

CORTLAND, OH- Lakeview stayed in it until the end, but Hubbard pulled away late in an 11-5 victory on Wednesday. Hubbard was down 4-3 in the top of the sixth inning when Haley Croyle homered, driving in two.

Hubbard scored four runs in the seventh inning including a clutch home run by Hannah Kist.

Croyle was the winning pitcher for Hubbard. She allowed six hits and five runs over seven innings, striking out nine.  Cait Kelm took the loss for Lakeview Bulldogs Varsity. She went seven strong innings, allowing 11 runs on 15 hits, striking out five and walking one.

Lakeview tallied six hits. Kelm and Beady Titus each racked up multiple hits for the Lady Bulldogs. Titus and Kelm each collected two hits to lead Lakeview.

Hubbard collected 15 hits. KistGiavanna HosackKellsie LeshnakSydney Bowser, and Emily Filicky each managed multiple hits for Hubbard. Kist led Hubbard with three hits in four at-bats. Hubbard didn’t commit a single error in the field. Kist had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.

LAKEVIEW LATE PUSH EARNS VICTORY OVER HUBBARD

HUBBARD, OH- It was a late push by the Bulldog hitters that led the way in a winning contest against Hubbard, 5-4 on Tuesday night.

In the top of the seventh inning, Lakeview tied things up at four when an error scored one run for the Bulldogs.  Lakeview scored three runs in the fifth inning to climb back and take a 3-2 lead. Brendon KilpatrickJake Wilms, and Matthew McRoberts each drove in runs during the inning.

Nick Demonica got the start for Lakeview. He surrendered four runs on four hits over five innings, striking out eight.

Corrin led things off on the mound for Hubbard. He went five innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking one. MosoraJarvis, each contributed in relief for Hubbard.

Lakeview tallied 11 hits. KilpatrickAustin Vogt, and Demonica all collected multiple hits for the Bulldogs. Kilpatrick led the Dogs with four hits in five at-bats.

Jamie Thomson went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Hubbard in hits. Hubbard tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Palumbo led the way with two.
