BLUE DEVILS’ BIG SECOND HALF TAMES EP

EAST PALESTINE, OH-In an opening week EOAC football matchup, the Lisbon Blue Devils dominated the East Palestine Bulldogs in the second half of the contest, securing a convincing 37-7 victory.

The first quarter set the tone for Lisbon’s dominance, with Trevor Siefke connecting with Logan Stauffer on a 60-yard pass, putting Lisbon on the scoreboard early. Ben Weber added the extra point, and Lisbon led 7-0.

East Palestine responded in the second quarter with an Owen Jurjavcic 4-yard rush, tying the game at 7-7 after a successful PAT. However, Lisbon quickly regained the lead when Trevor Siefke dashed into the end zone with a 10-yard rush. Ben Weber’s PAT made it 14-7 in favor of the Blue Devils.

The third quarter saw Trevor Siefke extend Lisbon’s lead further with two more rushing touchdowns, from 10 and 24 yards out, respectively. Ben Weber’s successful PATs made the score 28-7 in favor of Lisbon.

In the final quarter, Ashton Hinchliffe sealed the victory for Lisbon with a spectacular 65-yard rushing touchdown. Trevor Siefke added a 3-yard rushing touchdown as well. Lisbon’s strong performance continued on the defensive side, preventing East Palestine from mounting any significant comeback.
