RICK’S RIDE

EAST PALESTINE, OH- Noah Ricks has been a popular voice heard across all YSN platforms this summer. Ricks called over 80 games during the Youngstown Class B baseball season this summer at Bob Cene Park.

Ricks began his broadcasting career at a very young age while at Chalker High School. Ricks traveled with the Wildcats basketball team, and did his own play-by-play on his cell phone at games. Ricks took a big leap in his career when he enrolled at Youngstown State University, to begin his studies in the sports broadcasting department.

Noah Ricks left the broadcasting department during his college tenure, and began a new journey in coaching. He loved to coach, but after the 2020 pandemic, Ricks jumped back in to his true passion of sports broadcasting. He has become the new voice of the Howland Tigers, and will spend the upcoming fall season broadcasting Tiger football.

To hear more about Noah Ricks journey, here is an interview with Noah on the YSN Power Hour:

MIKE ON THE MIC

EAST LIVERPOOL, OH- For the last four years, the voice of Beaver Locals sports has been one of confidence, excitement, and professionalism.  Much like any professional team, the Beavers and their fans have benefitted from their broadcaster being a little more invested in their brand, and that’s for good reason.

In 2019, Beaver Local joined YSN as a member school, and with that came the 8th grade broadcasting prodigy, Michael McKenzie.  A young man who knew what he wanted to do since the moment he heard Pittsburgh Pirates play-by-play man Greg Brown utter “Raise the Jolly Roger.”  McKenzie’s journey with YSN has been one that’s garnered fanfare from viewers, and requests for “McNuggies” to broadcast games other than his home school.

With all of his success on the air, McKenzie has still been able to maintain a normal social life alongside playing sports throughout all seasons with the Beavers.

Michael recently started his senior campaign off with a medalist performance shooting a 39 on his home course, and leading his team to victory.

We caught up with the multi-talented teen to see what the ride has been like, and what’s in store for him in the years to come.

440 AND GOAL JOINS YSN

ASHTABULA, OH- The Kings of the 440 sports streaming scene are going to get a little bit louder this fall.  440 and Goal are joining the ranks of Your Sports Network to bring more coverage to Ashtabula County in 2022.

Owners of 440 and Goal, Sam Torres and Ryan Cole appeared on YSN’s Power Hour on August 1st to help announce the partnership.  440 is listed as the top dog in Ashtabula County as far as sports coverage is concerned, and sets out to cover several sports including football, volleyball, swimming, wrestling, baseball, basketball, and more.

The goal of this partnership is to increase visibility for all student-athletes, coaches, and programs in Ashtabula County, and provide them the same opportunities as the other 50+ schools under the YSN banner.  “With the partnership with Sam and Ryan, we feel like we’ve increased the passion in our coverage ten-fold.  What they’ve been able to do in Ashtabula is outstanding, I feel that this is a marriage of two companies pulling from the same side of the rope to provide more for each program” said YSN Founder and CEO, DJ Yokley.  “These guys are doing more than just broadcasting games, they’re impacting communities through their love for sports” added Yokley.

The first broadcast for 440 and Goal on YSN is set for August 14th.

YSN AND PACSN PARTNER TOGETHER TO SUPPLEMENT COVERAGE

EAST PALESTINE, OH- Your Sports Network and the Presidents Athletic Conference Sports Network are teaming up to better serve the local sports scene moving forward.

YSN, which covers youth and high school sports will now help present the broadcasts from PACSN to their loyal viewers, as contests from the Presidents Athletic Conference (Division III, NCAA) will be hyperlinked on the “Live” page of YSNLive.com throughout the year.

“As a former Division III athlete, I understand how important it is to so many to continue their academic and athletic careers beyond high school.  I feel that the PAC is one of the elite conferences in all of the NCAA, and am grateful that Joe (Onderko) and Randy (Gore) see the value of introducing their brands to our fans at YSN,” said YSN CEO/Founder DJ Yokley.

The PAC Sports Network began broadcasting in Fall 2011, designed to showcase athletics in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. Over the years PACSN has streamed numerous live championship events in the PAC, including men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse, women’s volleyball, baseball, and softball. CHANGING THE GAME; TOP-RANKED APP TALKS FUTURE OF SCORING SPORTS AND BEYOND

EAST PALESTINE, OH- Chances are, if you’ve scored a baseball game in the last decade, you’ve come to know and use the scoring app, GameChanger.

The world’s top-ranked scoring app has become so much more since its debut in 2009.  It’s become a scheduling tool, a source of information for rosters, stats, recaps, and now GameChanger is looking to boost its user-base through streaming games live in addition to all of the above.

With that said, GameChanger has leaned on some of the advice of the nation’s top streaming company, YSN to assist in that growth and initiative.

GameChanger’s Alex Trezza stopped by during YSN’s Power Hour to talk shop and discuss the past, present and future of the platform, and what fans should be getting excited for off the diamond as well!

YSN PARTNERS WITH GAMECHANGER TO BOOST STREAMING EXPERIENCE

EAST PALESTINE, OH- One of the nation’s leading broadcast streaming companies is teaming up with one of the world’s top sports scoring and content apps.  Your Sports Network (YSN) is proud to announce the beginning of a partnership with GameChanger this Summer.

GameChanger features over 550,000 teams on its platform and has over 26 million games scored since the app was launched in 2009.  With an additional six million hours of content, GameChanger stands alone when it comes to sports data input and connecting families from across the globe.

YSN will bring its experience in sports broadcast streaming to the partnership to help boost the experience on the GameChanger platform, and grow the brands simultaneously through the education and entertainment during each respective season on both platforms.

“We’re overjoyed to connect with the team at GameChanger, it’s a perfect fit for both companies.  Both sides have the best interest of families, programs, and the athlete in mind, and we’re looking forward to bringing a more exciting experience to all the teams and organizations that utilize GameChanger, YSN, and the synergy that will come along with it,” said YSN Owner and Founder, DJ Yokley.

Your Sports Network currently is partnered with over 50 schools and 20 organizations in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

The partnership will include simulcasted sports broadcasts live to the GC platform with YSN commentary and broadcast-quality streams.  Programs that choose to utilize this service can sign their teams up at no cost at GC.com, or download the app to their device.  GameChanger also recently unveiled automatic video clipping for baseball and softball that allows athletes and their families to find their clips and create their own highlight reels, or share to social media at their convenience.

WATSON NAMED 2022 YSN GIRLS BASKETBALL COACH OF THE YEAR
